History

Erimos was originally founded as BioCure Technologies, LLC in 2000, in collaboration with researchers at The Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Dr. Ru Chih Huang, Professor of Biology, is Chief Scientific Advisor to Erimos and lead inventor of Erimos’ technology platform, which JHU licensed to Erimos.

In 2004 the company was changed to Erimos, the Greek word for desert. Erimos’ technology platform stems from derivatives of a compound extracted from a common desert bush. Erimos has corporate offices, research and development, and laboratory facilities in Raleigh, NC. Additional corporate offices are located in Houston, TX. Erimos also has a processing plant in Juarez, Mexico.
